With the recent surge in celebrities falling victim to the menace of deepfake with their morphed videos and pictures going viral on social media, Bollywood starlet Janhvi Kapoor revealed that she faced the same during her teenage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In this alarming new wave of AI-generated deepfake videos, with the emergence of morphed clips of actors like Rashmika Mandanna, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Kajol on social media, rising diva Janhvi Kapoor, 26, shared that she was a victim of the same back when she was 15, however, didn\u2019t know how to appropriately report it, as the \u2018Animal\u2019<\/em> actor.<\/p>\n

Lauding Mandanna for her stand, during a recent outing with an Indian digital magazine, Kapoor said, \u201cI applaud Rashmika for standing up.\u201d Further with the revelation, the \u2018Mili\u2019<\/em> star added, \u201cI didn\u2019t even know that I had the right to speak about deepfakes or altered images. I didn\u2019t know I could say anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cIt\u2019s strange to say this, given that anything and everything I say, given the context of where I come from sounds like\u2026 So, I\u2019m a little conscious. But I\u2019ve been a little apologetic about where I come from, because there are bigger and tougher things that people have to deal with. Everything that I\u2019ve dealt with in life, I\u2019ve looked at as, \u2018It doesn\u2019t really matter. Look at what people actually go through\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd, I think I invalidated a lot of my feelings, and that resulted in me not really having a voice to express what I want, what I don\u2019t want. Because I didn\u2019t want to seem imposing,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought I can\u2019t complain because it\u2019ll seem like I want attention,\u201d Kapoor maintained.<\/p>\n

However, Kapoor said that she has come to the point to embrace her origins rather than shying away from them, so as to take her late mother Sridevi\u2019s legacy forward.<\/p>\n

On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor is currently filming for her debut Telugu title \u2018Devara\u2019<\/em> with Jr. NTR, while she also has sports drama \u2018<\/em>Mr. & Mrs. Mahi\u2019 <\/i>and a patriotic thriller \u2018Ulajh\u2019\u00a0<\/i>in the kitty.<\/p>\n
