LAHORE \u2013 \u00a0The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday rejected for being non-maintainable a petition challenging the withdrawal of \u2018Bat\u2019 symbol by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).<\/p>\n

Omar Dhillon, the PTI leader, had filed the petition, seeking the restoration of the party\u2019s symbol.<\/p>\n

Justice Jawad Hassan took up the case where he deemed the PTI leader\u2019s petition as inadmissible. The court delivered its decision, rejecting Omar Dhillon\u2019s plea.<\/p>\n

The development took place a day after the Peshawar High Court (PHC) maintained the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regarding Bat symbol ahead of the elections.<\/p>\n

The legal battle comes in the wake of the Peshawar High Court\u2019s decision to lift the stay on the Election Commission\u2019s ruling made on December 22. The Election Commission\u2019s decision reinstated the symbol that had been withdrawn from PTI.<\/p>\n

In response to the decisions of the high courts, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar announced plans to take the matter to the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n
