Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone spoke up about her special connection with her debut co-star and close friend Shahrukh Khan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a recent outing with a local publication of the country, Deepika Padukone, who was last seen in a special cameo appearance in Khan\u2019s \u2018Jawan\u2019<\/em>, said that her connection with the Bollywood superstar and her frequent collaborator goes far beyond work and films.<\/p>\n

Calling them \u2018each other\u2019s lucky charms\u2019, the \u2018Piku\u2019<\/em> star shared, \u201cBut honestly, we are beyond luck. We have a sense of ownership over each other\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI am one of the few people he is vulnerable with. There is so much trust and respect, and I think that luck is just the cherry on the top,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the celebrity also revealed that she did not charge a penny for a special appearance in SRK\u2019s recently released \u2018Jawan\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Speaking about her frequent cameos, Padukone said, \u201cI wanted to be a part of 83<\/em> [starring Ranveer Singh] because I wanted it to be an ode to women who stand behind their husbands\u2019 glory. I watched my mother do it. This was my homage to wives who make sacrifices to support their husbands\u2019 careers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOther than that, any special appearance for Shahrukh Khan, I am there. Same with Rohit Shetty,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to mention that Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have shared the screen in four full-length features, including \u2018Om Shanti Om\u2019, \u2018Chennai Express\u2019, \u2018Happy New Year\u2019<\/em> and \u2018Pathaan\u2019<\/em> along with two cameos in \u2018Billu Barber\u2019<\/em> and \u2018Jawan\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n
