As Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is passing through \u201cChillai Kalan\u201d, the 40 days harshest winter period, Srinagar\u2019s famous Dal Lake has frozen.<\/p>\n

The occupied territory is grappling with persistent wintry conditions, with a further drop in night temperatures. Srinagar experiences a bone-chilling minus 4.8\u00b0C, resulting in the partial freezing of the iconic Dal Lake. Shikara owners are facing difficulties in navigating their boats through the icy waters. Morning rowing becomes a formidable task as boatmen break through the frozen surface to carve paths for their boats.<\/p>\n

It is to be mentioned here that \u201cChillai Kalan\u201d commences on December 21 and ends on January 31.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, A residential house was gutted, today, in a fire incident in Ganderbal district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n
