Three terrorists were killed while a Pakistan Army soldier was martyred in an exchange of fire between security forces and militants in Quetta,the military\u2019s media affairs wing said on Friday.<\/p>\n

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), militants had attacked a security forces\u2019 post near Wali Tangi on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring fire exchange, three terrorists were sent to hell,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

It said that Subedar Qaiser Raheem had embraced martyrdom while \u201cfighting valiantly in the line of duty\u201d, adding that one other soldier had been seriously injured.<\/p>\n

\u201cSecurity forces of Pakistan will continue to thwart the efforts of the enemies of peace and prosperity in the country,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

Interim Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti \u201cstrongly condemned the attack\u201d and said the entire nation saluted the martyr.<\/p>\n

Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured soldier, he said that \u201cterrorists do not deserve any concession\u201d and vowed to eliminate them from the country.<\/p>\n

National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf condemned the attack and paid tribute to the martyred soldier.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people of Pakistan and all institutions are determined to root out the menace of terrorism,\u201d the speaker said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Pakistan has witnessed an uptick in terror activities in recent months, especially in KP and Balochistan, after the TTP ended its ceasefire<\/a> with the government in November last year.<\/p>\n
