ISLAMABAD \u2013 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday announced its intention to appeal to the Supreme Court of Pakistan regarding the rejection of its candidates\u2019 nomination papers. S<\/p>\n

Dr. Babar Awan, a senior leader of PTI, emphasized that the constitution does not prevent anyone from participating in elections, and allegations of papers being snatched from people are baseless.<\/p>\n

He was talking to the reporters outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday.<\/p>\n

During the conversation, Awan responded to the acquittal of Nawaz Sharif, asserting that no injustice has occurred in any case; rather, it is a matter of persecution. While Sharif can physically land at the airport, winning the hearts of the people is another matter. Awan pointed out the contrasting scenarios where PTI candidates, upon release, leave freely, while those brought in struggle to gain public support.<\/p>\n

Awan stated that regardless of the circumstances, PTI would contest the elections in every constituency, aligning with their strategic approach to field candidates in all constituencies.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Islamabad High Court granted permission for Imran Khan to issue tickets himself, instilling hope for justice not only from the High Court but also from the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

Similarly, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar clarified that there is no intention to boycott the general elections. The party is committed to participating fully, and consultations with Imran Khan regarding ticket distribution are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Appeals will be filed in the Supreme Court regarding the rejection of nomination papers, as over 550 requests, including 380 from PTI, 28 from PML-N, and 40 from PPP, have been dismissed.<\/p>\n

Technical points have been raised, such as missing signatures on nomination forms.<\/p>\n

However, hopes for justice rest on the decisions of the courts, as any compromise on the democratic process would result in a significant blow to democracy and a grave injustice against PTI.<\/p>\n
