As many as 20 women from the region are contesting open seats in the 2024 general election.<\/p>\n<p>In a noteworthy development leading up to the elections scheduled for February 8th, the active participation of women is being lauded as a commendable and historic milestone for the region. This marks the first time in South Punjab\u2019s electoral history that such a substantial number of women have actively engaged in the political process, demonstrating a desire to contribute meaningfully to public service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read\u00a0<\/strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/tribune.com.pk\/story\/2449722\/women-increasingly-jumping-into-hazara-electoral-fray\"> Women increasingly jumping into Hazara electoral fray<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Of the six National Assembly seats and twelve Provincial Assembly seats, female candidates have submitted their papers for five National Assembly seats and nine Provincial Assembly seats.
