The Punjab Wildlife Department has announced that partridge and quail may be hunted only on Saturdays and Sundays during the season in the coming year.<\/p>\n

The quail hunting season will be from August 15 to April 15 on Saturday and Sunday. A person may hunt maximum 12 quails. The partridge hunting season will be from August 1 to September 30 on the same days with the limit of six partridges.<\/p>\n

A limit for hunting quails and partridges in a day will also apply.<\/p>\n

The hunting licence fee for wild animals and birds included in schedule I and IV of the Punjab Wildlife (Protection, Preservation and Conservation) Act, 1974 has been set for 2024 at Rs2,000 for Pakistani citizens and Rs10,000 for foreigners.<\/p>\n

However, separate permits must be obtained for hunting partridge, quail and waterfowl.<\/p>\n

A permit will be issued for two days in a specified area during the season for hunting waterfowl included in Schedule I. A citizen may obtain maximum five permits during a season. The hunting permit fee is Rs500 for Pakistani citizens and Rs50,000 for foreign nationals.<\/p>\n

Similarly, maximum three permits each will be issued for hunting partridge and quail on one day.<\/p>\n
