Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in leading roles, Greta Gerwig\u2019s imagining of the Mattel doll has been the highest-earning film.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Super Mario Bros. Movie\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Box office collection: $1.36 billion<\/p>\n

\u2018The Super Mario Bros. Movie\u2019, released on the same day as \u2018Barbie\u2019, broke the stereotype of a \u201cvideo game not getting a good film\u201d. The animated film, based on the video game series of the same name, was a delight for the game series lovers.<\/p>\n

Box office collection: $952 million<\/p>\n

\u2018Oppenheimer\u2019 and \u2018Barbie\u2019 were released on the same day and the former gave a tough competition to the latter at the box office. The autobiography of J. Robert Oppenheimer \u2013 the father of the atomic bomb \u2013 starred Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon and Emily Blunt in leading roles.<\/p>\n

\u2018Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Box office collection: $845 million<\/p>\n

This year has not been fun for the Marvel Cinematic Universe with several films failing to live up to fans\u2019 expectations. \u2018Guardians of the Galaxy<\/em>\u2018, which saw the \u2018Avengers<\/em>\u2018 taking part in another world-saving mission, was a saving grace.<\/p>\n

Box office collection: $704 million<\/p>\n

Fast and Furious franchise continued to grow with the release of the 10th film this year. \u2018Fast X<\/em>\u2018 follows Vin Diesel\u2019s Dominic Torreto and his gang saving the worlds from the nefarious plans set by Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa).<\/p>\n

\u2018John Wick: Chapter 4\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Box office collection: $440 million.<\/p>\n

The fourth instalment in the \u2018John Wick<\/em>\u2018 franchise was one of the most-anticipated films of this year as its release was delayed several times for different reasons. \u2018John Wick: Chapter 4<\/em>\u2018 follows the titular character, played by Keanu Reeves, saving himself from bounty hunters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
