{"id":40918,"date":"2023-12-28T12:29:12","date_gmt":"2023-12-28T12:29:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/pml-n-discusses-likely-seat-adjustments-new-constituencies-issues\/"},"modified":"2023-12-28T12:29:12","modified_gmt":"2023-12-28T12:29:12","slug":"pml-n-discusses-likely-seat-adjustments-new-constituencies-issues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/pml-n-discusses-likely-seat-adjustments-new-constituencies-issues\/","title":{"rendered":"PML-N discusses likely seat adjustments, new constituencies issues"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Thursday discussed the issue of new constituencies and the party\u2019s affected candidates along with likely seat adjustments, citing sources ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sources said that the party\u2019s session mulled to compensate the candidates deprived of party tickets with Senate seats or in by elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA large part of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq\u2019s constituency has been added in the constituency of Shaikh Rohail Asghar in fresh delimitations and both of them trying to bag the party ticket for NA-121,\u201d party sources said.<\/p>\n<p>PML-N leadership mulling to tackle this issue, sources said.<\/p>\n<p>The Senate elections will take place in March immediately after general election in February.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAyaz Sadiq could be offered to the constitutional seat of Senate Chairman if he becomes senator,\u201d sources claimed.<\/p>\n<p>Former MNA Malik Riaz could be affected in NA-117 after Aleem Khan has submitted nomination papers from NA-117. Malik has contacted to the people deemed closer to the PML-N leadership, sources said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe PML-N can give green signal to Aleem Khan for NA-117 in seat adjustment,\u201d sources said. \u201cIn that case Malik Riaz can be offered ticket to another constituency in a by-election,\u201d party sources said.<\/p>\n<p>Former speaker Ayaz Sadiq, after the PML-N parliamentary party session in a media talk said that the 2024 general election can be better for the PML-N. \u201cI won\u2019t comment on Shaikh Rohail Asghar\u2019s contesting election,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I can contest the PTI founder or Aleem Khan twice, the party ticket if given, I will contest the election,\u201d former speaker said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will take first our party decisions.
