The Caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed reviewed the necessary measures for the convenience of pilgrims here on Wednesday.\u00a0 Talking to media persons, the caretaker federal minister said all necessary measures are being taken for the convenience and ease of the pilgrims.<\/p>\n

After 50 years, the Haji camp is being painted and the renovation work will be completed soon, Aneeq Ahmed said. He directed to make Hajj more convenient and said through the \u201cSponsorship Hajj Scheme\u201d not only the overseas Pakistanis get quality facilities at low cost but the country will earn dollars through it.\u00a0 He said that more than 70,000 applications have been received in the regular Hajj scheme and the Hajj lottery will be held on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Aneeq Ahmed said that the government was taking all possible steps to provide best services to the Pakistani pilgrims during the current years Hajj.\u00a0 He said that the Federal Government, in the Hajj Policy 2024, had brought a significant reduction in the Hajj expenses as compared to the previous year.\u00a0 \u201cThe Haj 2024 is set to embrace digitalization, providing pilgrims with a mobile application which will function without Internet connectivity. This innovative app will offer various features, including a complaint lodging option to the pilgrims this year,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The government, Aneeq said, had also introduced a historic 20 to 21-day short Hajj package and was striving to make the religious obligation financially affordable to the entire nation, the minister said.\u00a0 He said quality accommodation and meals, with improved transportation facilities would be provided to make the Hajj a more comfortable and convenient experience for the pilgrims.\u00a0\u00a0 The minister appreciated the Saudi government\u2019s efforts for making the Hajj more affordable for the Pakistani pilgrims.\u00a0 Aneeq said the ministry had received more applications than the quota for the Regular Hajj Scheme this year, which showed the citizens more confidence than the last years.<\/p>\n
