In a thrilling match between Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Stars in the ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) 13th edition at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Tuesday, Pakistan’s wrist spinner Usama Mir delievered a stellar bowling performance.<\/p>\n

Mir’s exceptional day with the ball played a crucial role in restricting the Sydney Sixers to 154 runs in their allotted overs. The wrist-spinner picked up three important wickets, providing his team with much-needed breakthroughs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Among his victims were Daniel Hughes, Moises Henriques (Sixers’ captain), and Jordan Silk, leaving the Sixers struggling at 45\/4 in 8.4 overs.<\/p>\n

Usama Mir was not alone in making an impact, as he was joined by his national teammates Haris Rauf and Imad Wasim.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Imad Wasim, playing his first match for the Stars after joining the team on Monday, made history in T20 cricket. The all-rounder became one of the select few cricketers to hit 1000+ runs and take 50+ wickets in a calendar year in T20s.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This achievement puts him in an elite list alongside the likes of Kieron Pollard (2010), Azhar Mahmood (2012), and Andre Russell (2016).<\/p>\n
