Four people died, and five sustained injuries after a car and motorbike collided on Islamabad Expressway on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to Express News<\/em>, the accident occurred near Dhok Kala Khan stop in Rawalpindi. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. <\/span><\/p>\n

A spokesperson for 1122 informed that the bodies of the deceased were transferred to PIMS Hospital, adding that the condition of four of the injured was critical. <\/span><\/p>\n

According to sources, two of the deceased people and all the injured belonged to the Christian community. The people in the car were also alleged to be in a state of intoxication.<\/span><\/p>\n

On December 22, in 1,197 Road Traffic Crashes<\/a> (RTCs) reported across all 37 districts of Punjab during 24 hours, at least 13 people had died, while 1,280 had sustained injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of the injured, 572 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 708 victims with minor injuries were treated on-site by rescue medical teams.<\/p>\n

Majority of the crashes involved motorbikes. <\/span>Further analysis showed those 696 drivers, 43 underage drivers, 162 pedestrians and 435 passengers were among the victims.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
