ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather for twin cities and most parts of Pakistan during the next two days.<\/p>\n

According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of the country on Monday evening\/night and the next two days.<\/p>\n

Extremely cold weather is expected in northern parts.<\/p>\n

Fog\/smog is likely to occur in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh during morning and night hours.<\/p>\n

Moderate to dense fog may cause closure of portions of Motorways from late night till early morning.<\/p>\n

Less visibility will also disrupt vehicular movement on the National Highway.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, the minimum temperature will likely remain between 01-03 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature will likely remain between 02-04 C on Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. Extremely cold weather prevailed over northern areas.<\/p>\n

Leh remained the coldest place in the country where the mercury dropped 06 C below freezing.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 03 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 92 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 04 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 93 per cent.<\/p>\n
