{"id":36894,"date":"2023-12-18T11:31:03","date_gmt":"2023-12-18T11:31:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/all-my-musician-friends-abused-me-after-3-idiots-says-ali-fazal\/"},"modified":"2023-12-18T11:31:03","modified_gmt":"2023-12-18T11:31:03","slug":"all-my-musician-friends-abused-me-after-3-idiots-says-ali-fazal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/all-my-musician-friends-abused-me-after-3-idiots-says-ali-fazal\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;All my musician friends abused me after 3 Idiots&#8230;&#8217;, says Ali Fazal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Indian actor Ali Fazal, who essayed a pivotal role in<em> \u20183 Idiots\u2019<\/em>, revealed that his musician friends used to abuse him after the blockbuster.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-1\"><strong>Watch ARY News live on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/live.arynews.tv\/hq\/\">live.arynews.tv<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-1\">In a recent outing on comedian Cyrus Broacha\u2019s podcast, actor Ali Fazal recalled how filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani saw him during a theatre performance and called for the film. \u201cI remember getting a call and going in for the audition wearing this one shirt, which I probably used to wear like 4 days a week and getting cast and being told, \u2018<em>Woh, tum shirt wahi le aana beta, hume wohi shirt chaiye<\/em> (We want the same shirt in which you auditioned, so bring that one along)\u2019,\u201d he recounted.<\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-1\">The actor continued that when he was cast for the role and had to play a guitar in a song, <em>\u2018Give Me Some Sunshine\u2019<\/em>, he learnt each and every chord as his prep.<\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-1\">\u201cAnd then all my musician friends abused me for years after that because on set I was playing it beautifully. It\u2019s perfect like <em>\u2018Give me some sunshine\u2019,<\/em> but, suddenly Raju sir comes in and he says \u2018Don\u2019t look at the guitar\u2019,\u201d Fazal revealed. \u201cThen Aamir Khan comes and says \u2018play common chords\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-1\">\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"Ali Fazal&#039;s journey: 3 Idiots, Fukrey, Fast and furious &amp; Guddu Bhaiya\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aUGEnq_oTnE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p data-testid=\"paragraph-1\">The <em>\u2018Fukrey\u2019<\/em> star confessed that he just strummed\u00a0the guitar without focusing on the right chords, leaving his musician friends angry.<\/p>\n<p>Fazal also mentioned that the same shirt, which he got for 40 rupees, was also destroyed during the suicide scene, however, the production team stitched it well and returned it to him, while the director also gifted him a jacket.<\/p>\n<p>For the unversed, Ali Fazal played senior student Joy Lobo, who committed suicide due to the pressure of college and studies, in Rajkumar Hirani\u2019s coming-of-the-age comedy-drama <em>\u20183 Idiots\u2019<\/em>,\u00a0headlined by Aamir Khan, R.
