The Constitution has a solution for everything if implemented in its true spirit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the role of the armed forces, Khosa contended that their duty extends beyond protecting borders to assisting the state in emergencies such as floods and providing security during elections.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, Latif Khosa, also a member of Imran Khan\u2019s legal team, had received an invitation to join the PTI on December 4.<\/p>\n<p>The decision comes after the PPP suspended Khosa\u2019s party membership on September 22 for defending the PTI head without approval and criticizing the state policy during a lawyers\u2019 function.<\/p>\n<p>The PPP had issued a notice on September 14, warning of membership termination if Khosa failed to respond within the stipulated timeframe.<\/p>\n<h4>Election schedule<\/h4>\n<p>On Friday, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP)\u00a0 issued the election schedule for the upcoming February 8 general polls in compliance with the Supreme Court (SC) order issued earlier.<\/p>\n<p>According to a notification issued by the electoral watchdog, the public notice would be issued by the Returning Officer (RO) on December 19 with the dates for filing nominations from Dec 20-22.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"\ud835\udc01\ud835\udc11\ud835\udc04\ud835\udc00\ud835\udc0a\ud835\udc08\ud835\udc0d\ud835\udc06 \ud835\udc0d\ud835\udc04\ud835\udc16\ud835\udc12: \ud835\udc04\ud835\udc02\ud835\udc0f \ud835\udc1a\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc2e\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc2c \ud835\udc2c\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc21\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc1d\ud835\udc2e\ud835\udc25\ud835\udc1e \ud835\udc1f\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc2b \ud835\udc04\ud835\udc25\ud835\udc1e\ud835\udc1c\ud835\udc2d\ud835\udc22\ud835\udc28\ud835\udc27\ud835\udc2c \ud835\udfd0\ud835\udfce\ud835\udfd0\ud835\udfd2\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jpEGKS_HQbI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The ECP, in its notification, stated that the names of the nominated candidates would be published on Dec 23 while the last date for scrutiny of their nomination papers would be from Dec 24-30.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the last date for filing appeals against the decisions of Returning Officer (RO) on rejecting or accepting nomination papers is January 3.
