Martin, the author of epic novel series \u2018<em>A Song of Ice and Fire<\/em>\u2018 aka \u2018<em>Game of Thrones<\/em>\u2018, excited fans by giving updates about its prequel \u2018<em>House of the Dragon Season 2<\/em>\u2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch ARY News live on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/live.arynews.tv\/hq\/\">live.arynews.tv<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to mention here that \u2018<em>House of the Dragon<\/em>\u2018 is the live adaptation of George R.R. Martin\u2019s novel \u2018<em>Fire and Blood<\/em>\u2018. The graphic novel is the prequel to \u2018<em>A Song of Ice and Fire<\/em>\u2018 books.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018<em>Fire and Blood<\/em>\u2018 tells the violent history and the eventual civil war between members of the House Targaryen. The events that unfolded in it happened 200 years before \u2018<em>A Song of Ice and Fire<\/em>\u2018.<\/p>\n<p><div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"House of the Dragon | Official Trailer | Max\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DotnJ7tTA34?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>George R.R. Martin, in his blog, stated the initial two episodes of the second season\u00a0will be very dark and violent and there will be chaos all over.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe highlight of the trip \u2026 had to be the sneak preview that [showrunner] Ryan [Condal] gave me of the first two episodes of \u2018<em>House of the Dragon Season 2<\/em>\u2018 (Rough cuts, of course),\u201d he stated. \u201cOf course, I am hardly objective when talking about anything based on my own work\u2026 but I have to say, I thought both episodes were just great. (And they are not even finished yet.) Dark, mind you. Very dark.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey may make you cry. (I did not cry myself, but one of my friends did.) Powerful, emotional, gut-wrenching, heart-rending. Just the sort of thing I like. (What can I say? I was weaned on Shakespeare, and love the tragedies and history plays best of all.)\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said it would be unjust if the show is not renewed beyond two seasons. He added that \u201cit would take four full seasons of 10 episodes each to do justice to the \u2018<em>Dance of the Dragons<\/em> (Targaryen Civil War)\u2019, from start to finish.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to mention that the Targaryen Civil War would start in the second season.
