Despite the forthcoming \u2018Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom\u2019<\/em>, Hollywood star Jason Momoa is not too confident regarding the future of the superhero as well as the franchise.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a new interview, days before the \u2018Aquaman\u2019<\/em> sequel hit theatres next week, the lead actor of the title, Jason Momoa addressed the future of the DC\u2019s submerged superhero and the franchise.<\/p>\n

In a conversation with a foreign publication, Momoa said, \u201cThe truth of it is \u2014 I mean if the audience loves it, then there\u2019s a possibility,\u201d before he confessed, \u201cBut right now, I\u2019m like, \u2018It\u2019s not looking too good.’\u201d<\/p>\n

After hinting that the new DC Studios\u2019 chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran want to \u2018start their own thing up\u2019, Momoa added, \u201cI don\u2019t necessarily want it to be the end\u2026 [but] I don\u2019t think it\u2019s really, like, a choice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI love this character and [I would want to] play it for a long time. I kind of see where I would want it to go. And even in the next 10 years or so, like there\u2019s a lot of cool things they can do. And I do enjoy the role and the world,\u201d he explained. \u201cSo, I mean, it just comes down to if people love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The James Wan directorial, \u2018Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom\u2019<\/em> is slated to hit theatres on December 20.<\/p>\n

Apart from Jason Momoa, the superhero title also features Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II,\u00a0Nicole Kidman, Temuera Morrison, Dolph Lundgren, Randall Park, Willem Dafoe, Indya Moore, Vincent Regan and Pilou Asb\u00e6k.<\/p>\n
