Caretaker Minister for Education, Madad Ali Sindhi has increased the quota for women from 33pc to 40pc directing full accommodation of differently-abled students under the Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Skills Development Programme (PMYSDP).\u201d<\/p>\n
Federal Minister Madad Ali Sindhi gave these directions while chairing the first meeting of the Steering Committee of Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Skills Development Programme (PMYSDP) by NAVTTC on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
During the meeting, the federal minister said that technical training could become the backbone of the economy of Pakistan. \u201cIt is imperative that we harness the full potential of the youth of Pakistan,\u201d he said, appreciating the sheer scale of the Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Skills Development Programme (PMYSDP).<\/p>\n
The effective and practical implementation of this programme can yield extremely positive results, he further said.<\/p>\n
He said that women empowerment was a crucial milestone that needs to be prioritised if we want Pakistan to overcome the existing social challenges. Similarly, he ordered that all differently-abled students should be admitted irrespective of any quotas.<\/p>\n
He also ordered the NAVTTC to arrange accommodation for them in major cities in order to facilitate them.<\/p>\n
ED NAVTTV on the occasion told the Federal Minister Madad Ali Sindhi that the current Prime Minister\u2019s Youth Skills Development Programme costs approximately Rs10 billion.<\/p>\n
He said that under this programme 161,000 youth have been trained so far. Out of which 96,000 have received hi-tech training and 64,000 conventional training. He further briefed the minister that this trained workforce had an employment rate of 71pc<\/p>\n
