Tightening the tension for PTI supporter and fashion designer, Khadija Shah, an Anti-Terrorism Court on Tuesday has granted three day custody of Shah to the police in case, relating to incitement to violence.<\/p>\n

It is to be hereby mentioned that, the Quetta police had detained her in Lahore and brought her to Balochistan<\/a> by road amid tight security.<\/p>\n

During the hearing, the police asked for 14-day custody, levelling allegations that Shah was allegedly involved in inciting violence via using social media and WhatsApp. The investigation officer emphasized the need for a forensic examination of the mobile phone of the suspect.<\/p>\n

Notably, Khadija Shah\u2019s lawyer, Iqbal Shah, contested the 14-day remand request, asking why the mobile phone\u2019s forensic examination had not been conducted from over the past six months.<\/p>\n

After hearing arguments from both the sides, ATC judge Sadat Bazai rejected the plea filed by the police for the 14-day remand, and instead granted a three day remand. The judge instructed the authorities to present his client Shah before the court after the completion of three-day remand period.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Quetta police took Khadija Shah into custody after an Anti-Terrorist Court<\/a> in Lahore has released her after the withdrawal of her arrest order by the government of Punjab. The Quetta police informed the Lahore Anti Terrorist Court that Shah was wanted for the investigation in connection with the violent attacks on May 9.<\/p>\n

The Quetta ATC had earlier issued arrests warrants for her in this regard.<\/p>\n

It is to be hereby noted that, an Anti Terrorist Court in Lahore on Monday has granted Quetta police two-day transitory remand of Khadija Shah in a case pertaining to violent protests in the nation on May 9.<\/p>\n

On Nov 15, an anti-terrorism court had granted Shah bail in the fourth and last case of May 9 protests against her. However, she was re-arrested on Nov 17 under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) ordinance for 30 days.<\/p>\n
