The interim government of Afghanistan on Wednesday has taken pledge to investigate the recent terrorist attack in Dera Ismail khan<\/a>. The attack which shook the entire Pakistan has claimed almost 23 lives, while leaving 30 Pakistani troops wounded.<\/p>\n

It is to be noted that, the attack in Dera Ismail Khan has been recorded as the deadliest attack on the security forces this year.<\/p>\n

While pledging for the probe, the interim Afghan<\/a> government has also stated that, Kabul should not be blamed for every issue.<\/p>\n

Notably, during the early hours of Tuesday, at least 23 Pakistani army troops were martyred, whereas 30 other troops were wounded after militants belonging to the Tehreek-i-Jihad Pakistan (TJP) attacked a compound used by the military in Dera Ismail Khan\u2019s Daraban area.<\/p>\n

The information about the following has been shared by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The details added that, a group of six militants had launched an attack at the security post but their attempt was foiled.<\/p>\n

ISPR mentioned that, \u201cThe assault was followed by blasts, as militants rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the gate and carried out a subsequent suicide bombing. The resulting explosion caused the building to collapse, resulting in multiple casualties. All six militants were engaged and killed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following this, the Tehreek-i-Jihad Pakistan (TJP) had claimed the responsibility for the attack. A TJP spokesman, in his claim, said that, \u201cFour bombers who took part in the attack hailed from Lakki, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, and Mardan districts. Pakistan has recently been claiming the involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist attacks and the statement by the TJP appears to challenge that assertion.<\/p>\n

Noting to the above mentioned, the authorities in Pakistan has demanded for an action against all the active terrorists groups, including their leadership. Pakistani authorities have also emphasized upon the principle of zero-tolerance, adding that, such crimes in Pakistan will not be tolerated anymore.<\/p>\n
