Indian director Khalid Mohamed made news for his scathing remarks on Zoya Akhtar\u2019s Netflix film \u2018The Archies<\/em>\u2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018The Archies<\/em>\u2018 continues to make news for all the wrong reasons. The film, which is a reimagining of the American comic book series of the same name, is panned by critics for its bad acting by star cast.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the film is being widely criticized for being a \u201cNepo-Fest\u201d as the leading cast are relatives of prolific Bollywood celebrities.<\/p>\n

Khalid Mohamed, who has directed Karisma Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee-starrer \u2018Zubeidaa\u2019, was not happy with Zoya Akhtar and the acting skills of Suhana Khan and Co.<\/p>\n

He accused them of destroying his \u201cprecious memories of Archie and the Gang with her film.<\/p>\n

\u201cMa\u2019am Zoya Akhtar, You have just ruthlessly destroyed my precious memories of Archie and the gang,\u201d he said. \u201cWhy? The theme of land grab(a hara bhara park in your case) is sought to be saved by Riverdale kids (in school or KG I know not). For this, they keep breaking into Grease-type songs and prances even in the middle of dinners.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cAur land \u2018development\u2019 ka topic chhedna tha to ab yahan deshbhar mein ho raha hai<\/em>. (If you had to talk about the land development topic, it\u2019s happening in the entire country). But big business people names can\u2019t be annoyed na?\u201d<\/p>\n

He said Agastya Nanda and Suhana Khan were \u201cindigestible\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201d Indigestible too are your newcomer actors. Intense workshops weren\u2019t enough or what? Suhana as apunki Veronica..giveme Pooh any day\u2026n Agastya need to learn the ABZ of acting. Khushi Kapoor was theekh theekh\u2026 never thought I\u2019d ever say this but her sister Jhanavi has more hosh n josh \u2026 the Reggie boy was way superior.\u201d<\/p>\n

He concluded by requesting Zoya Akhtar to not adapt \u2018Lil Lulu and Tubby<\/em>\u2018, \u2018Dennis the Menace<\/em>\u2018, \u2018Tweety<\/em>\u2018 etc.<\/p>\n
