As part of the efforts to keep the situation under control, Narendra Modi-led Indian regime has placed People\u2019s Democratic Party President, Mehbooba Mufti and National Conference vice President Omar Abdullah under house arrest in Srinagar hours before Indian Supreme Court is going to hand down a verdict on abrogation of Article 370.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, a statement released by the PDP in Srinagar said, Mehbooba Mufti has been detained at her residence. Police have been deployed outside her house to prevent her from venturing out to lead anti-India protest rallies after the verdict.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven before Supreme Court judgement is pronounced, Police have sealed the doors of the residence of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and put her under illegal house arrest,\u201d the PDP said in its post on twitter. The National Conference on Monday said that senior party leader Omar Abdullah has been locked inside his house.<\/p>\n

\u201cDear Mr LG these chains that have been put on my gate have not been put by me so why are you denying what your police force has done. It\u2019s also possible you don\u2019t even know w hat your police is doing? Which one is it? Are you being dishonest or is your police acting independent of you?\u201d Omar Abdullah wrote on X.<\/p>\n

Meanhile, police are also raiding houses of Hurriyat leaders and activists including the residence of APHC leader from Jammu, Davinder Singh Behal. However, Behal was not present at the house during the raid. Behal was targeted for his yesterday\u2019s statement wherein he opposed illegal revocation of Article 370 by the Modi government.\u2014KMS<\/p>\n
