CHAMAN:<\/strong>\u00a0In an address to thousands of participants in the 50-day sit-in in Chaman on Saturday, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Chairman of the Pashtun Khwaja Milli Awami Party (PKMAP), declared that while they do not desire conflict, they are prepared to protest to secure employment opportunities for their children.<\/p>\n

Achakzai emphasized the peaceful nature of the ongoing protest in Chaman, highlighting its legitimacy and the pressing demands of the participants. Expressing frustration over the lack of attention to their concerns, he noted the adverse impact on the lives of thousands of people, urging rulers to address the issues at hand.<\/p>\n

The chairman issued a stern warning that if the sit-in\u2019s demands, persisting until the next week. He revealed plans to travel to Islamabad to engage with leaders of various political parties, including Maulana Fazalur Rehman, in a collaborative effort to find a resolution.<\/p>\n

Achakzai stressed that they intend to seek peaceful solutions, but if their voices go unheard, a more extensive protest is imminent.<\/p>\n

Achakzai specifically addressed the contentious passport system, asserting that its current form is unacceptable to the thousands of protesters demanding its restoration to its previous state. While expressing a desire to contribute to the governance of the country, he emphasized the need for all stakeholders to engage in dialogue and called for a withdrawal of the military from political affairs.<\/p>\n

Concerns were raised about threats directed at the protesters, with Achakzai boldly declaring himself the leader of the sit-in. He called for an end to such intimidation tactics, emphasizing the importance of resolving issues through dialogue rather than coercion.<\/p>\n
