The time-saving feature, however, is limited and only works on pre-processed videos or those with subtitles.<\/p>\n<p>Mikhail Parakhin, Microsoft\u2019s CEO of advertising and web services has explained, \u201cIn order for it to work, we need to pre-process the video. If the video has subtitles &#8211; we can always fallback on that, if it does not and we didn\u2019t preprocess it yet &#8211; then it won\u2019t work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Edge Copilot doesn\u2019t seem to summarise videos in comparison to summarising text transcripts of videos. The feature is also available on Microsoft 365, summarizing Teams video <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-sales-copilot\/generate-meeting-summary\">meetings<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/dynamics365\/customer-service\/use\/copilot-use-summary\">calls<\/a> for customer service agents. They all require audio transcription by Microsoft first.<\/p>\n<p>Competing in with the AI race to make more automated features available, Microsoft hasn\u2019t lagged behind.
