An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Saturday withdrew the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader <\/span>Marriyum\u00a0Aurangzeb\u00a0after she appeared in court for the hearing of a\u00a0case filed against her. <\/span><\/p>\n

Last year in September, a case was registered<\/a> against the former information minister and PML-N leader Javed Latif for allegedly spreading religious hate and declaring former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman a non-Muslim on a TV talk show.<\/span><\/p>\n

ATC Judge Abher Gul then issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Marriyum on November 25, 2023, over her non-appearance, while cancelling Latif\u2019s arrest warrants for attending the court summons. <\/span><\/p>\n

Today, the court directed her to submit the written judgement of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) regarding the co-accused and cancelled her warrants as she had appeared before the court. <\/span><\/p>\n

The hearing of the case was adjourned till January 6, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking to the media today, the party leader said that the case against her was \u2018created\u2019 when \u2018they\u2019 (PML-N) revealed that former prime minister Imran would attack the state institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

She further said that the person who had the case lodged against her was\u00a0now himself accused of the May 9<\/a> incident and claimed that he has now walked away with a <\/span>\u00a3190 million heist, terming it the biggest theft in the country\u2019s history. <\/span><\/p>\n

It should be noted that the first information report (FIR) was lodged by complainant Irshadur Rehman at the Green Town Police station during PTI leader Pervaiz Elahi\u2019s chief ministership in Punjab. <\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking to the media, she stated that the PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif was ousted from power for not taking a salary from his son. \u201cThey loot themselves and then question how the country\u2019s economy has deteriorated,\u201d\u00a0Marriyum lashed at the PTI.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alleging that Imran exploited his position during his prime ministership to increase his wealth, she criticised the PTI leaders for not only stealing but also for becoming ‘stubborn’ later. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf you have attacked Jinnah House, you will have to answer.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, referring to the \u2018London plan\u2019<\/a>, Marriyum\u00a0maintained that Nawaz was facing false cases in the court and at the same time, has been declared free of any corrupt practices by the IHC. <\/span><\/p>\n

Claiming that the people of Pakistan would make Nawaz the prime minister for the fourth time, Marriyum said that the country would return to the economic stability it had in 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cToday the youth is facing unemployment, not the former chairman,”\u00a0she blasted Imran and added that Nawaz would be voted by the people on February 8. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
