The authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir again did not allow Juma prayers at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar and kept senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest at his residence for the 9th consecutive week.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Anjuman Auqaf of the Jamia Masjid in a statement said the police authorities disallowed the Anjuman from opening the gates of the mosque for Juma prayers. It said that for the 9th consecutive week, Juma prayers were not allowed at the historic mosque.<\/p>\n

Fearing that the Juma congregation could turn into an anti-India and anti-Israel demonstration, the occupation authorities have been denying the holding of Friday prayers at the grand mosque.<\/p>\n

The Anjuman denounced the repeated closure of the Jamia Masjid and house detention of its chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and termed it frustration of the authorities.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities also again put noted religious scholar Agha Syed Mohammad Hadi Al-Moosvi under house detention and denied him to perform his religious duties.<\/p>\n

The people have been denied their right to perform their religious obligation at Imambargah in Bemina for the ninth consecutive Friday but this hostility from the administration will not suppress the people\u2019s sentiment for al-Quds and its people and will make their resolve more firm, said Agha Syed Mohammad Hadi.\u2014KMS<\/p>\n
