ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly cold and dry weather for most parts of Pakistan including the twin cities during the next couple of days.<\/p>\n

According to the synoptic situation, continental air is prevailing over most parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

A shallow westerly wave is approaching upper parts of the country today.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Friday evening\/night and the next two days.<\/p>\n

Partly cloudy weather is likely in upper parts during the period.<\/p>\n

Light rain\/light snowfall over high mountain is likely in Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral and surrounding areas. Smog\/fog is likely to persist in upper Sindh and plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during morning and night hours.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 04-06 degrees Celsius on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 04-06 C on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed across Pakistan during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Leh remained the coldest place in Pakistan where mercury dropped 10 C below the freezing point.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 04 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 93 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 06 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 75 per cent.<\/p>\n
