Sanjrani told Dawn.com<\/em> that he spoke to the late Maqbool\u2019s son Rana Talal and offered his condolences to him. He described him as an \u201cexcellent political worker and parliamentarian\u201d.<\/p>\nPML-N President and former prime minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his grief and sorrow over the party leader\u2019s death.<\/p>\n
In a statement, Shehbaz said it was a \u201csad day for the PML-N family\u201d, adding that Maqbool was a close and trusted associate of party supremo Nawaz Sharif.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis decades-old friendship continued till the end with the same mutual trust and love,\u201d Shehbaz said. \u201cRana Maqbool was a brave, serious, and intelligent personality.\u201d<\/p>\n
