{"id":32784,"date":"2023-12-08T02:07:02","date_gmt":"2023-12-08T02:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/squid-game-the-challenge-renewed-for-season-2\/"},"modified":"2023-12-08T02:07:02","modified_gmt":"2023-12-08T02:07:02","slug":"squid-game-the-challenge-renewed-for-season-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/squid-game-the-challenge-renewed-for-season-2\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Squid Game: The Challenge&#8217; renewed for season 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_86\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>Streaming giant Netflix greenlit another instalment of <em>\u2018Squid Game: The Challenge\u2019<\/em> hours before the finale of the launching season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Watch ARY News live on\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/live.arynews.tv\/hq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">live.arynews.tv<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the finale of the ten-episodic first season, where the winner walked away with $4.56 million, the makers confirmed the renewal of <em>\u2018Squid Game: The Challenge\u2019<\/em>, the British reality TV version of the South Korean dystopian series, for another season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no red light in our decision to greenlight season two of <em>Squid Game: The Challenge<\/em>, the most ambitious unscripted show we\u2019ve premiered at Netflix,\u201d said Brandon Riegg, Netflix VP of non-fiction series, in the official statement.<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cWe\u2019re so excited to continue the franchise of<em>\u00a0\u2018Squid Game\u2019\u00a0<\/em>with our team in Korea, and producers at Studio Lambert and The Garden for this epic competition series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reportedly, there is also an\u00a0open casting call by the streamer for season 2 of <em>\u2018The Challenge\u2019<\/em> at the website\u00a0\u2018SquidGameCasting.com\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the reality TV competition <em>\u2018The Challenge\u2019<\/em> debuted at No.1 on Netflix\u2019s list of Top 10 English-language shows upon its premiere last month and has been holding the position for the past two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the mainline <em>\u2018Squid Game\u2019<\/em> also holds Netflix\u2019s record as the most popular show of all time.
