Overwatch 2 season 8 just went live this week, and users have already begun complaining that the game is ‘unplayable’ on PS5 consoles.<\/p>\n

Players complained about facing performance issues and lagging menus whilst playing the game on the console, with frames dropping below 20fps.<\/p>\n

“I play on PS5 with 120 Hz monitor and settings for that output, but randomly either in [fights] or walking back from spawn, even on menus, I am dropping down to what seems like single digit to low double digit frames per second,” a player who goes by Sartell wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Blizzard has already commented on the issue but haven’t specified when the issue will be fixed. “We are investigating reports of performance issues for some platforms.”<\/p>\n

Players who had anticipated the new season might have to wait for a fix to enjoy the new game character Mauga, unless they want to switch to a different console.<\/p>\n
