LAHORE \u2013 Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday removed encroachments from parking areas of commercial buildings in different parts of Lahore.<\/p>\n

LDA also sealed several buildings in Gulberg and Garden Town for violation of parking rules.<\/p>\n

During the operation, more than a dozen private offices, plazas, private banks, marquees, and restaurants were sealed over violation of parking rules.<\/p>\n

The teams cleared encroachments from various plazas and parking area outside the offices.<\/p>\n

Encroachments were removed from the parking area of Asia Center, Ibrahim Center, Salar Center, Al-Qadir Plaza and others on Main Boulevard Garden Town.<\/p>\n

Encroachments built in the basement of commercial plazas, offices and cafes were also demolished.<\/p>\n

LDA also sealed several buildings on Mehmood Kasuri Road Gulberg.<\/p>\n

Encroachments from the parking area of well-known coffee shops, food chains, restaurants, shopping malls and hotels were cleared.<\/p>\n

Offices, kitchen, seating areas on designated parking spaces were also demolished.<\/p>\n

As per the LDA officials, several notices were issued to owners before carrying out the operation.<\/p>\n

LDA Director General Muhammad Ali Randhawa has directed continuing indiscriminate operation against encroachments, violation of parking rules in Lahore.<\/p>\n
