Britain’s maritime agency said on Sunday that it has received a report of drone activity and a potential explosion in the Red Sea’s Bab al-Mandab strait.<\/p>\n

The drone activity originated from the direction of Yemen, UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said in a statement.<\/p>\n

“Vessels in the vicinity are advised to follow industry guidance on loitering munitions and advised to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO,” the statement read.<\/p>\n

Similar incidents have occurred recently in the region, particularly since the beginning of ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza on Oct. 7.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
