ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan during weekend.<\/p>\n

According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

A westerly wave is still affecting northern parts of the country.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in the twin cities and most parts of the country on Friday night and the next two days.<\/p>\n

However, rain-wind\/thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Smog\/fog is likely in upper Sindh, plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during morning hours.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 06-08 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 05-07 C on Sunday.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 09-11 C on Saturday and 07-09 C on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

However, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over mountains occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n

Kashmir: <\/strong>Muzaffarabad (City 28 & Airport 22), Garhi Dupatta 06, Rawalakot 03<\/p>\n

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: <\/strong>Balakot 16, Kalam and Saidu Sharif 11, Dir (Upper & Lower 10), Malam Jabba 07, Kakul, Pattan 03, Chitral, Drosh 01<\/p>\n

Gilgit-Baltistan: <\/strong>Bagrote, Chilas, Gilgit and Hunza 01<\/p>\n

Leh remained the coldest place in Pakistan where mercury dropped 06 C below the freezing point.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 07 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 60 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 10 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 52 per cent.<\/p>\n
