ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rains for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Thursday evening\/night.<\/p>\n

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave prevails over upper parts of Pakistan. It is likely to persist during next 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, partly cloudy weather is expected in most parts of the country on Thursday evening\/night and the next two days.<\/p>\n

However, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Thursday evening\/night.<\/p>\n

Smog\/fog is likely to prevail in upper Sindh, plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during morning hours.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 06-08 degrees Celsius on Friday and 05-07 C on Saturday.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 11-13 C on Friday and 10-12 C on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

However, rain-thunderstorm occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:<\/strong> Kalam 05, Malamjabba 04, Balakot 03, Chitral, Pattan, Saidu Sharif 01<\/p>\n

Punjab: <\/strong>Narowal 05, Lahore (City 02), Murree 01<\/p>\n

Kashmir: <\/strong>Garhidupatta 01<\/p>\n

Gilgit-Baltistan: <\/strong>Gupis 01<\/p>\n

Leh remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 04 C below the freezing point.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 08 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 89 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 14 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 79 per cent.<\/p>\n
