KARACHI \u2013 Sindh government on Thursday announced winter vacations for schools and colleges.<\/p>\n

As per the announcement by Sindh Department of Education, all schools will remain closed from December 22 to December 31.<\/p>\n

All private and government educational institutions, including universities, colleges and schools in the province will reopen on January 1, 2024, the announcement said.<\/p>\n

Sind Department of Education said winter break notification has been issued in light of of decisions taken in the Steering Committee\u2019s meeting. <\/span><\/p>\n

Punjab, KP and Balochistan, and GB are also expected to officially announce winter vacations under a similar schedule in coming days.<\/span><\/p>\n

The weather of Sindh and other parts for month of December, and January remains cold and the temperature significantly decreases.<\/p>\n

As per the new academic schedule, the new academic year for schools will start on April 15, 2024, whereas colleges will commence their academic activities from August 1 2024.<\/p>\n

Matric 2024 exams will be held in the first week of May, and intermediate exams are slated for the last week of May.<\/p>\n
