ISLAMABAD \u2013 The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall of varying intensities for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Wednesday evening\/night and on the following day.<\/p>\n

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is prevailing over upper parts of Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, rain-wind\/thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected in twin cities, Potohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Wednesday night and Thursday.<\/p>\n

Hailstorm is also expected at isolated places during the period.<\/p>\n

Smog\/fog is likely in central\/southern parts of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 07-09 C on Thursday.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 11-13 C on Thursday and 09-11 C on Friday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Leh remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 05 C below the freezing point.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 08 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 94 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 11 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 72 per cent.<\/p>\n
