Ace batsman Imamul Haq recently tied the knot with Anmol Mehmood in an extravagant affair in Lahore. The festivities, comprising a Mehendi night, a Qawwali, the big day and the reception, were attended by the who’s who of the cricketing world.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Imam’s close friends, including former Pakistan cricket team captain, Babar Azam, as well as the groom’s teammates Hassan Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, and Sarfaraz Ahmed among others graced the wedding as well.<\/p>\n

As the pictures from Imam and Anmol’s wedding roll in, designer Munib Nawaz took to Instagram and revealed how he came about dressing the sportsman and his bestie, former captain Babar, for the groom’s reception.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Donning dark suits, the batsmen looked dapper. “The best partnerships aren’t limited on the pitches but off the field. Babar Azam and Imamul Haq wearing custom Munib Nawaz creations,” the designer shared a picture of the two cricketers with a caption.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In another post he shared on his social media, we see Munib posing with the bride and groom. “Always an honour to dress the champions of our country,” he wrote. “Imam is a champ. His wicket had to fall. Wishing him love for this new match!” the couturier shared.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Imam, on the other hand, had been actively sharing glimpses from his wedding. “Celebrating love and new beginnings with joy and gratitude. Alhamdulillah,” the batsman penned on Instagram alongside a carousel of pictures from his reception,” he shared.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking about his better half, Imam shared, “Today, we\u2019ve not only become partners for life but have also solidified the bond of best friendship, which has always been the foundation of our love story. Today, I not only married my best friend but also found my forever home in your heart.”<\/p>\n
