ISLAMABAD \u2013 Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast cold and cloudy weather with chances of rains for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan during the next two days.<\/p>\n

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is likely to approach upper parts of the country. Low level easterlies are also penetrating in northeastern Punjab, Kashmir and adjoining areas.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in the twin cities and most parts of the country on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Rain-wind\/thunderstorm with snowfall over the hills is expected in Potohar region including northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Wednesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n

Hailstorm is also expected at isolated places during the period.<\/p>\n

Smog\/fog is likely in central\/southern parts of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 09-11 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 10-12 C on Wednesday and 09-11 C on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Leh remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 03 C below the freezing point.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 09 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 50 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 11 C.<\/p>\n

Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 41 per cent.<\/p>\n
