In the anti-electricity theft campaign that began on September 7, 2023, IESCO detection teams checked 0.3 million meters. Out of which 5,182 meters were found manipulated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read\u00a0<\/strong>\u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/tribune.com.pk\/story\/2447829\/zero-tolerance-policy-for-electricity-theft\">Zero-tolerance policy for electricity theft\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>IESCO has imposed fines worth Rs286.6 million by charging 6 million units to consumers for stealing electricity.<\/p>\n<p>By registering 610 FIRs against electricity thieves, police arrested 489 people. On the other hand, IESCO&#8217;s recovery teams are also recovering dues from defaulters.
