Directed by Shoaib Sultan and produced by Nighat Akbar Shah, a recent Instagram post revealed that upcoming film Gunjal <\/em>is slated for a December 15 release. The post, which was shared in the grid by both Nighat and Gunjal\u2019s official Instagram account, shared a film poster with the caption announcing the much-anticipated release.<\/p>\n

Helmed by Adur Productions, the crime thriller is inspired by true events as described in the post\u2019s caption, \u201cIn a whirlwind of sentiments, we\u2019re bringing you an emotional journey: Gunjal <\/em>(Entangled) which is based on true events that follow journalist Shahbaz Bhatti\u2019s journey as he investigates the murder of child activist Irfan Masih, who had bravely fought against the practice of child labour in 1990s Pakistan.\u201d<\/p>\n

The official trailer for Gunjal <\/em>came out on September 30 with the earlier release date being December 8, 2023. The almost 2-minute-long video teases\u00a0the film\u2019s tantalising plot, revolving around the real-life journalist Shahbaz Bhatti, played by the skilled Ahmed Ali Akbar. Bhatti embarks on a treacherous journey to uncover the truth behind the murder of child activist Iqban Masih, a brave soul who fought relentlessly against the scourge of child labour in 1990s Pakistan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The film thrusts us into a world rife with hidden secrets, intricate conspiracies, and half-revealed truths.
