{"id":27085,"date":"2023-11-22T06:28:08","date_gmt":"2023-11-22T06:28:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/enforced-disappearances-ihc-displeased-over-ministerial-bodys-report\/"},"modified":"2023-11-22T06:28:08","modified_gmt":"2023-11-22T06:28:08","slug":"enforced-disappearances-ihc-displeased-over-ministerial-bodys-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/enforced-disappearances-ihc-displeased-over-ministerial-bodys-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Enforced disappearances: IHC displeased over ministerial body&#8217;s report"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_98\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday expressed disappointment over the ministerial committee\u2019s report on enforced disappearances, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A bench of the high court was hearing the case pertaining to implementation of the recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances.<\/p>\n<p>The court summoned Additional Attorney General Munawar Iqbal Duggal at 11:00am in the court.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Assistant Attorney General Usman Ghumman submitted the report of the ministerial committee\u2019s session in the court.<\/p>\n<p>The one-page report of the six points agenda of the session was produced to the bench.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani expressed disappointment over the report and returned back it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe report is shame for the court,\u201d Justice Kayani remarked. \u201cThe Prime Minister and the Interior Minister are both from Balochistan, they should realize that it is the matter of Baloch students,\u201d Justice Kayani observed.<\/p>\n<p>The Islamabad High Court had summoned report from the federal government\u2019s committee within a week.<\/p>\n<p>A federal cabinet committee headed by the Interior Minister has been constituted to review the cases of enforced disappearances in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).<\/p>\n<p>The committee comprises of three members was notified and the law ministry officials produced the notification to the high court.<\/p>\n<p>The committee headed by the interior minister also included the law and defence ministers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe ministerial committee will review the cases of enforced disappearances\u201d, the notification read.
