{"id":26741,"date":"2023-11-21T06:16:04","date_gmt":"2023-11-21T06:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/shc-criticizes-constant-transfers-of-ios-in-missing-persons-cases\/"},"modified":"2023-11-21T06:16:04","modified_gmt":"2023-11-21T06:16:04","slug":"shc-criticizes-constant-transfers-of-ios-in-missing-persons-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/shc-criticizes-constant-transfers-of-ios-in-missing-persons-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"SHC criticizes constant transfers of IOs in missing persons cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_98\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday blasted constant transfers of investigation officers in cases of enforced disappearances, ARY News reported.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A high court bench, hearing 15 missing persons case, expressed its disapproval to transfers and directed authorities to avoid unnecessary transfers of investigation officers.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto also stressed the need of using modern devices to search missing persons instead of traditional investigation methods. \u201cThis is the age of modern devices to inquire into cases,\u201d the bench observed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe mothers and children of missing persons are anxious and the families of disappeared persons visiting courts for years,\u201d Justice Phulpoto remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Investigation officer in his report said that missing man Mushtaq was affiliated with the MQM. \u201cHe was involved in personal enmities and when he went missing, the MQM and Lyari gangs were engaged in a turf war in city,\u201d IO told the court.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were cases registered against Mushtaq at various police stations,\u201d IO added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTry to search him, get the travel history from the FIA, trace his whereabouts,\u201d court told the investigator.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he has committed any crime, punish him before us, send him to jail,\u201d family members of missing person said. \u201cWe are visiting courts for eight to 10 years\u201d. \u201cHow we convince children where is their father,\u201d a family member said.<\/p>\n<p>The court summoned reply from the I.G.
