Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporter and fashion designer Khadija Shah\u2019s husband Jahanzeb Amin on Saturday challenged his wife\u2019s 30-day detention in the Lahore High Court, terming it \u201cunlawful\u201d.<\/p>\n

Amin made the federal government, Lahore deputy commissioner and others respondents in the application.<\/p>\n

The petitioner requested the court to declare the detention notification as illegal.<\/p>\n

Khadija was arrested on Friday for the fifth time since the May 9 riots on the orders of the Lahore deputy commissioner, just a day after an anti-terrorism court approved her post-arrest bail. On the DC\u2019s orders, the PTI supporter has been detained for 30 days under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance.<\/p>\n

According to the order, Lahore Cantonment Division superintendent of police and district intelligence branch recommended Khadija\u2019s detention under Section 3 of MPO for 30 days.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
