India is carrying out slow-motion genocide in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir through extrajudicial killings in fake encounters to suppress the Kashmiris\u2019 ongoing struggle for securing their UN-acknowledged right to self-determination.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, the troops have martyred eight Kashmiris including a 60-year old man in Baramulla, Kulgam and Rajouri districts in the last three days and arrested hundreds during cordon and search operations and house raids in the last one week. The troops using drones and chemical weapons are brutally targeting the youth during the so-called search operations in the territory.<\/p>\n

The killing of Kashmiris in fake encounters is part of the nefarious game plan of Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government and its Hindutva-influenced establishment to eliminate the indigenous population in IIOJK. People of occupied Kashmir have been facing the brunt of brutal Indian suppression for the past over 7 decades. The killing of innocent civilians in fake encounters and arrests under black laws are the decades-old tactics being used by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, political analysts and civil society members in Srinagar talking to media persons lamented that the Kashmiris are being punished for demanding their inalienable right to self-determination guaranteed to them by the United Nations.<\/p>\n

They said that India itself had taken the Kashmir dispute to the UN Security Council and the World Body had passed successive resolutions, calling for its settlement through plebiscite. They added that the UN should take cognizance of the grim situation in IIOJK, particularly the human rights violations being perpetrated by Indian troops.<\/p>\n

The political analysts and civil society members said it is high time for the international community to come forward and hold the Modi regime accountable for its crimes against the Kashmiris.\u2014KMS<\/p>\n
