He emphasised that preventive measures not only decreased the risk of disease but also reduced the burden on the national healthcare system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\">He said cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) were being diagnosed in young people while the treatment was becoming lengthy and unaffordable for the patients. Therefore consuming a healthy diet and quitting a sedentary lifestyle was essential to control cardiac diseases, he added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:black\">Read\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/tribune.com.pk\/story\/2441891\/heart-diseases-among-top-killers\">Heart diseases among top killers<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:black\">He recalled that the country made relentless and coordinated efforts to manage the COVID-19 pandemic extremely well. He emphasised adopting similar passion and targeted action to prioritise the prevention of CVDs.
