The longest-standing regiment in the British Army, Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) band is presently on a visit to Pakistan and has garnered attention for their charming performance of the popular 2022 Coke Studio song Pasoori<\/em>, originally performed by Ali Sethi and Shae Gill. A video of the HAC band showcasing their rendition was recently posted on social media by the British High Commission.<\/p>\n

The video quickly gained recognition and applause. Earlier this week, the band took to social media platform X to comment on their visit and activities in Pakistan. The post read, \u201cThe HAC Band are proud to be working in Pakistan, providing musical support to His Majesty The King\u2019s Birthday Parties at The British High Commission.\u201d<\/p>\n

It furthered on, \u201cThe band will perform at engagements throughout the week & are taking the opportunity to rehearse for the next few days.\u201d Sethi also nodded at the reserve regiment\u2019s instrumental take on the song, posting the clip on his official Instagram account.<\/p>\n

With TikToks, covers, dance trends\u00a0and more, Pasoori was the most streamed Pakistani song on Spotify for 2022 according to a press release. The sensational Punjabi song beat all other Pakistani songs released that year, as per Spotify\u2019s Wrapped insights, both locally and globally.<\/p>\n

Sethi took to his social media to share the news. \u201cPasoori <\/em>has surpassed expectations, overcome prejudices, and broken so many records. I am so proud of Pasoori <\/em>for achieving these milestones while fully embodying its message of inclusion,\u201d he wrote while expressing his excitement over the love that the song received worldwide.<\/p>\n

Gill, too, appreciated the Pasoori<\/em>\u2019s enthusiastic reception and admired the power the track holds to touch so many hearts. \u201cA huge achievement for Pakistan and something that we all can be proud of,\u201d she exclaimed.<\/p>\n
