In a bid to prevent the spread of eye infection conjunctivitis, the Border Health Services Pakistan on Saturday issued an alert at the Jinnah International Airport and other airports of the country.<\/p>\n

According to Director Health Dr Syed Ghulam Murtaza Shah, the airlines should inform passengers affected by cataracts to refer to border health doctors at the airports.<\/p>\n

He said that passengers severely affected by conjunctivitis should avoid travelling on their own. \u201cConjunctivitis is a contagious disease and this disease is transmitted from one person to another.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the other hand, according to the Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson, travel restrictions were not being imposed on passengers affected by conjunctivitis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
