The company is currently in talks with cable providers and sports leagues. Once the standalone streaming service goes live, ESPN will still be available on traditional TV platforms, giving tough competition to cable providers.<\/p>\n<p>As of now, the project is code-named &#8216;<a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2023\/05\/19\/disney-is-reportedly-preparing-a-standalone-espn-streaming-service\/\">Flagship<\/a>&#8216;. Disney and ESPN have been planning to launch a standalone service for a while now.
