The Livestock Department launched an anti-tick spray campaign to counter the possible spread of Congo virus on Tuesday. <\/span><\/p>\n

Deputy Director Livestock Dr Jamshed Akhtar said that no case of Congo virus have been reported in Punjab so far, but exercising caution is essential. <\/span><\/p>\n

He added that it is crucial to keep livestock and their surroundings free from ticks and to thoroughly examine animals when purchasing them. Butchers were also encouraged to take precautions, including wearing gloves during the slaughtering process. <\/span><\/p>\n

The anti-tick spray campaign aims to curb the spread of dangerous diseases transmitted through the parasites. <\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, mobile veterinary dispensaries are actively spraying animals to safeguard against the potential outbreak of the Congo virus. <\/span><\/p>\n
